An unfortunate turn of events happened this week as Mark found out that his grandmother is in the hospital and not doing well. He has decided to stay home for another week or so to be with his family during this time, and I am sure that it was a good choice.

I on the other hand am headed to San Jose alone, for now. I won’t be alone for long as I will be picked up and will be staying with a friend of a friend. My best friend Marcos is from Costa Rica, and I will be staying with his friend while I wait for Mark and tour around. I can no longer depend on Mark’s conversational Spanish, so I will have to dig deep into my brain for my high school Spanish archives.
