Cycling with Kody and Mark : The Last Supper
Posted Jan. 19, 2009, 6:07 p.m.

Mark and I spent most of the day planning a big dinner for the family and friends we have stayed with and met. I made a 6 pound tri tip over a grill that we built with cinder blocks and an old oven rack (thanks to my old roommate Joel, I learned how to make a dynamite tri tip). Mark prepared the Caesar salad, baked potatoes, pineapple and garlic bread. Then after dinner, Mark and I surprised them with a little pazookie (a giant pan of chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream on top). Everything was a hit! They got all the grease, sugar and gluttony of a real American meal! And the funny thing is that it was the American food that had Mark on the pot all night.

Wow! That sounds like some awesome food! I wish could tell your host-parents thank you for taking such good care of you there.
