Cycling with Kody and Mark : Over the mountain
Posted Jan. 21, 2009, 6:10 p.m.

The first 20 miles out of Sarchi were a slow, treacherous uphill that took us the whole morning and into the afternoon. We were rewarded with a 14 mile downhill through the windy, rolling, green hills on the backside of the mountain to Ciudad Quesada, or San Carlos. We found another cheap hotel and plan to use the internet around here somewhere.

Your bikes look REALLY heavy, you are such studs for riding uphill for 20 miles with al that stuff – but it looks like it is sooooo worth it:) Cuidense!
