Cycling with Kody and Mark : Montezuma
Posted Feb. 2, 2009, 12:13 p.m.

We rode our bikes the short distance over the hill to another beach town called Montezuma. It was a short ride, but it had no shortage of sweat dripping uphills and brake-screeching downhills. We had heard there were some waterfalls outside of town, so as soon as we got a room for our stuff, we headed out of town. There are series of three waterfalls with the upper one having about a 35ft cliff into a deep pool. It was quite a compelling jump, despite the fact that the Doc told me not to swim in anything. The jump was amazing, and well worth the extra cleaning I had to give the leg!

Walking around town looking for food, we ran into a few guys from our hostel that we decided to have dinner with. An Englishman named Simon and a Dutchman name Jasper. The Englishman was a cyclist that lived and rode in Italy. He was so stoked on our ride because he had considered doing the same thing. They even woke up in the morning to see us off and watch us ride those huge rigs down the road.
